Distorted Daydreams
“Distorted Daydreams” is like getting lost in thought, but somewhere along the line it goes askew.
Featured Works:
Old Boy
(ceramic sculpture, acrylic paint, cloth, grass) 2011.
This is about how we find ourselves trying to grow up too fast or feeling young as we age. The duality of age: young vs. old.
Creature Pin Up
New Addition! This is available at the shop!
Babooshka
(ceramic sculpture, acrylic paint, wire, wood, moss, burlap) 2010
When I think of this piece, it represents a sad marionette that has been manipulated by the world. The extended arms depict the weight of it's emotions. The marionette has given its all and has been left with a burlap sack to keep it warm.
The Sun and The Moon.
(ceramic sculpture, acrylic paint) 2010
I was inspired by a folklore book that spoke of the relationship between the Sun and the Moon. This is about their rare but first meeting and their unspoken love and admiration for one another.

“In a Wonderland they lie, Dreaming as the days go by, Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down the stream- Lingering in the golden gleam-
Life, what is it but a dream?”
― Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass
