This is from the movie The Shape of Water. I watched a commentary Guillermo Del Toro gave about his movies and he said that this one is like the opposite of Beauty and the Beast. In that movie, the Beast has to transform into the perfect being in order to be accepted by society and win over Belle. He said that this is not real love. “It is easy to love someone who is perfect. It is much more deep when you love the Imperfect person.”
